that today’s date is Sept 11th. On the “Wagner’s War”
CD you have a lot of references to the events of the 11th and the following
weeks and months. Can you give us some of your thoughts on that and tell
it how it’s affected your music.
KAT- The WHOLE IDEA of “WAGNER’S
WAR” came DIRECTLY from those EVENTS of 9/11!!!! The CONCEPT of
WAGNER’S “RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES” is the “BATTLE
CRY” to WAR!!!!! The song “WAR” was written out of SEVERE
RAGE and the song “TERROR” was written in HORROR out of the
ATTACK on THE WORLD TRADE CENTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT’S WHY The Great Kat decided to CONFRONT THOSE TERRORISTS
MANIACS who VICIOUSLY ATTACKED MY CITY- NEW YORK CITY on SEPT 11th!!!!

EMPIRE - From the legend of The Great Kat, you are a virtuoso
violinist, but changed direction after hearing Judas Priest thus becoming
the queen of the six string. Is that accurate?
KAT - The Great Kat has studied Classical Music
since I started playing piano at the age of 7 and violin at 9. I was a
Full Scholarship Student of the Juilliard School for Violin and Graduated
with honors from Juilliard. I am the Winner of the Artists International
Competition on Violin and gave my Carnegie Recital Hall Debut on Solo
Violin. After hearing heavy metal, I decided to blend the POWER and ENERGY
of metal with the COMPLEXITY and GENIUS of AUTHENTIC CLASSICAL MUSIC!!!
The Great Kat takes ACTUAL violin solos that I perform in Classical Music
(Paganini, Bethoven, Bach, Sarasate, etc.) And REORCHESTRATE it for Shred

Features of the “Scorpion”-
The “Scorpion” has a gothic satin black finish (standard)
and an alder body construction with a bolt-on rock maple neck. The mother-of-pearl
bound fingerboard features an accessible 24 fret/25.5" scale with
a pair of Burns split humbucker pick-ups and a coil tap on the bridge
pickup. The standard configuration is a stop tailpiece, with an optional
Floyd Rose tremolo system with a locking nut.
The tone of the “Scorpion” is EXTREMELY ripping, piercing
and vicious sounding on the high end and heavy, wide, and crunchy on the
