Bio:
Let’s start by saying that Dr.Espling is a man of many talents. He is probably most renowned for his musical career. A journey that has taken him from a guitar player in several high school and garage bands to the driving force behind the powerhouse horror core rap group Twisted Thoughts. In the interim Dr.Espling has performed with no less than 10 different musical projects and has produced several highly acclaimed albums for the likes of Jakyl, Sickle Cell, CRAP and the fanatically successful Battle Dome TV soundtrack. He has also released a total of 3 solo albums as of date, all of which have became underground sensations. The Doc, as those who know him call him, has shared the stage with many noteworthy national acts from coast to coast and has garnered interest from several labels, but has never found the right fit for his music, diversity, talent and imagination.
But Dr.Espling is not limited to a performer and musician, he has held the reins of the music magazine that has taken the nation and world by storm, Empire Extreme. He single handedly created an outlet for an entire market that was being shunned by the mainstream and embraced by the youth of America. From its inception in 1999, Empire Extreme Magazine focused on the most extreme musical artists from any genre, with a no holds barred attitude. The Doc and his staff crossed every line that the music industry put before them, gaining the respect of the labels, the fans and the artists alike. In just one year Empire went from 32 page black and white local magazine to a full color national publication with distribution deals with Barnes & Nobles, Hastings, Best Buy, Virgin, Walden Books along with over 600 independent retail outlets in the United States.
As if performing in his own group and running a magazine was not enough, Dr.,Espling runs a graphic design business that caters to bands and high end corporate clients, this endeavor also flies under the banner of Deface Marketing, which houses a recording studio, video & photography facilities.
In 2006, the Doc and his wife, who some may know as the sexy Nurse from the pages of Empire Magazine, saw the birth of there first child, Autumn Lynn.
The future is a bright and shining place for Dr.Espling, a being that has way more ideas than time. He promises that someday all the projects he has started will hit the streets. So stay tuned as all the mayhem unfolds.
