Marilyn Manson - Eat Me, Drink Me

Marilyn Manson
Eat Me, Drink Me

This album is a natural progression and growth of an artist. It is what you would expect or not expect from a formable man like Marilyn Manson. A little heavier on the 70’s glam rock feel, subdued rhythms, and scorching guitars. This is the largest and grandest sounding album from Manson in company yet. The production is huge and amazing, but would you expect anything less.
Lyrically this release seems to draw on the realms of Mr. Manson’s love life over the past few years. One of those, love hurts for me and love is not about love. Tears and heart ache accompanied by intoxication.
The only downfall is that the band has mastered a sound and technique, and never strayed from the formula much. Leaving a handful of songs that are very similar in tones and feel, thus leaving a once thru of this album seeming like three. Great EP, ok album.
