Wii Zapper & Link's Crosshow Training:

First, let’s look at the Wii zapper light gun. So it’s kind of cool to have and whatever, but not a real essential instrument to the Wii owner. I mean, let’s face it, the remote is already a light zapper, so basically this is just another way to pull cash out of our pockets. It’s not even a gun anyways! It just holds your remote and thumbstick in a gun-like position.
When I first heard Nintendo was coming out with a light gun, I was ecstatic, as I fondly remembered hours upon hours of Hogans Alley and Duck Hunt sessions with friends that never seemed to get old. I can’t understand why Nintendo didn’t just make a light gun instead of this contraption.
I can see it being a fun little thing for kids, but for adults it is just too small to be comfortable in any position while holding it, while the aim seems just a little off, even after adjusting it.
The only saving grace here is the fact that it has a low price tag at around 20$ and it also comes with the “Link’s Crossbow Training” game.
The game itself was ok, and for the ultra obsessive type could turn into an all-nighter filled with destroying one’s own high score, but for me after a few plays it went back into the package.
All in all, for the price it’s worth a look at, but don’t expect too much. I pray that Nintendo or someone else pulls the trigger on a true light gun, because as this didn’t exactly deliver, it does show promise.
